Many years ago, I was a big fan of Canal Plus (the French HBO), which I considered as a highly creative and unique TV chanel. I created this crazy video tribute and sent it to them. They liked it a lot and proposed me an unpaid internship. Although it was a very hard decision, I had to decline the offer since I couldn’t afford to work without being paid, as so many students living in Paris. Instead, I accepted my first manager position at Livy. This video still allowed me to win ACES — a scholarship contest organized by the French singer Kery James. In French, “mieux” means better. The title “Canal Plus Mieux” is thus a wordgame: it’s even better than better.
